Our Friends play a vital role in helping City Opera pursue its mission to produce innovative new productions of classic and contemporary operas. Support from individual contributors is City Opera’s greatest resource, providing more than a third of the funds to meet our budget.
Membership contributions are fully tax-deductible.
Membership Privileges
Solo
Members making gifts of $100 and above are entitled to the following privileges:
- Priority seating for season subscriptions
- Special e-mail ticket offers to select performances and events
- Invitation to VOX: Showcasing American Composers
- 10% discount at the City Opera Gift Shop and Thrift Shop
- 20% Discount on all Education lectures and workshops
- Subscription to E-Newsletter "Opera Notes"
Duet
Members making gifts of $150 and above are entitled to the following additional privilege:
- One pair of passes to 1 private dress rehearsal*
Friend
Members making gifts of $250 and above are entitled to the following additional privileges:
- A second pair of passes to a second private dress rehearsal*
- Discounts on Lincoln Center's Guided Tour
- Discounts on selected classical music CD's at our Year-End Sale
- Additional 10% Discount on all City Opera online Gift Shop orders
Supporting
Members making gifts of $500 and above are entitled to the following additional privileges:
- A third pair of passes to a third private dress rehearsal*
- Invitation to City Opera’s annual Artist Awards Luncheon
- Weekend Access to the Green Room Patron's lounge
- Invitations to Galas and other exclusive Events
- Special recognition in Playbill
- Complimentary Backstage Tour
- Free access to select Lectures and Workshops
Sustaining
Members making gifts of $750 and above are entitled to the following additional privileges:
- A fourth pair of passes to a fourth private dress rehearsal*
- Invitation to "Opera in a Nutshell"
Best Friend
Members making gifts of $1,000 and above are entitled to the following additional privileges:
- A fifth pair of passes to a fifth private dress rehearsal
- Invitation to a special pre-performance Q&A reception

* Dress rehearsal seating for members is in the second and third rings. Due to the popularity of dress rehearsals we are unable to split pairs of tickets among multiple rehearsals.
