Middle School Opera Project
The Middle School Opera Project is a year or semester–long initiative, spanning aesthetic learning, performance, and/or occupational studies in opera. Students access opera through discussion, research and writing while making links to their classroom curriculum. An opera is analyzed from a variety of perspectives, and all students attend a main stage City Opera performance. The program incorporates collaborative work in opera production with City Opera artists and staff and culminates in a student written and produced opera.
