TIME OUT NEW YORK® INTRO TO OPERA SERIES

Discover the original multimedia art form in this series of friendly, fun, info-packed discussions with City Opera insiders. We'll demystify opera by exploring it's basic components, and we'll point out what to look and listen for in the performance you will see following each lecture. Enjoy these 45-minute talks singly, or subscribe to the whole series for a crash-course in opera and a complimentary copy of The Rough Guide to Opera. Light refreshments follow each talk.

PRODUCTION DIALOGUES

City Opera Dramaturg Cori Ellison hosts this series of engaging conversations with the visionaries who created our new productions and important revivals. Discover the ideas and inspirations behind the performance you're about to see and gain and insiders view of the creative lives of City Opera's directors, conductors, singers, designers, and instrumentalists. Previous guest speakers have included Francesca Zambello, Mark Morris, John Conklin, and Charles Wuorinen.
